Original Paragraph as seen on The Katie Diaries

Katie's site has a very comprehensive page about Bengals. This page covers what Bengals are, where they come from, what to look for in a Bengal and of course recommended Breeders. The following paragraph appeared at the bottom of this page. Mrs. Galpin started throwing around charges of libel, copyright infringment, etc when she read this paragraph. One of her complaints was that she had no representation (i.e. her side of the story wasn't being told). Therefore, this website was created allowing all information to be presented to to the reader.

Unfortunately, there are breeders out there, who do not have the best interests of the animals in mind. They are in it for the money, or some other poor excuse, and sell less than healthy animals to anyone who will pay their prices. They usually shy away from putting anything in writing, and will say one thing and do another. I've put in a link to help find a good breeder, and also linked to several good breeders that I know personally. However, I also would like to add this section called: BAD BREEDERS to help unwary buyers, and innocent would be bengal owners stay clear of them. These are breeders that I've either had personal experience with, or had documented evidence of. These are not just isolated incidents. Steer away from them to help discourage these inhumane practices! All in all, if you find that you are uncomfortable with something the best thing to do is walk away. Wait a little longer to get the healthy friend you want from a breeder you can have a lasting friendship with.

Diane Galpin - India ink Bengals of Washington State.
This is the breeder I got my two bengals from. Not only was it possibly the worst experience of my life to do business with this woman, but she kept demanding more money with absolutely no refunds. Before I knew it, I was either out all the money I had "deposited" or had to spend hundreds more to get my cat. She also had hidden expenses, and I got no reciepts (except for one which I had to fight to get), or written proof of anything from her, including the health certificate. She said on her website that she guarantees health, but both my cats came to me sick, and full of parasites. We had more expenses with repeated vet visits just to get them healthy. Katie's fluxating patella is a genetic defect, so all cats in the same line have the defect or carry it. Health and betterment of the breed are, in my opinion, not her top priorities.
